İntergaz received great interest in participating at the fair for the first time this year.

Continuing its trainings and functional exercises in various regions of K.KT.C., INTERGAZ is trying to fulfill its duty in the consciousness of responsibility. These trainings describe the safety measures to be taken during the introduction, transport, storage and use of LPG and the possible interventions to be carried out in a disaster or emergency situation. In this respect, it is aimed to raise awareness of Intergaz personnel and consumers and all environmental institutions and organizations.

In this frame, INTERGAZ LTD. The Disaster and Emergency Exercise of the year 2017 was carried out on 28/04/2017 jointly with the Nicosia Fire Department.

“INTERGAZ FAMILY Nature Walk” was held with the participation of our employees and their families. On Saturday, April 15, 2017, a social walk was organized with the participation of our employees and their families.

With the participation of The Search/Rescue Branch Office affiliated to the Civil Defense Organization Presidency, Nicosia Regional Directorate, Famagusta Regional Directorate, Kyrenia Regional Directorate, Morphou Regional Directorate, Iskele Regional Directorate, Operation and Training Branch Directorate, Service and Support Branch Directorate, Supply and Equipment Branch Directorate and Communication Branch Directorate, a three and a half hour theoretical and practical training was provided to 40 people. In theory; “LPG Technical Information Level-1″ and in practice “Cylinder LPG Fire Intervention” trainings were provided. At the end of the training, the participants were tested and given a one-year certificate of attendance.

A Nature Walk was organised by the İNTERGAZ FAMİLY with the participation of its employees and their families. On the 9th of April 2016 Saturday, a socially aimed nature walk was organised with the participation of its employees and their families. The 8 KM walk started at the Değirmenlik – Kyrenia Mountain area and ended in the location of Alevkayası. Various social and sports activities were then prepared at the Alevkayası area.

Occupational Health and Safety Expertise Course, organized by Ministry of Labour and Social Security betweeen the dates of 27 April and 26 June 2015, which was aimed to give certificates to people who provide preventive and protective services in the field of health and safety at work was completed at our facility, Intergaz, by fire fighting training towards all participants on 25-26 June 2015.

With participation of 85 people in total, the training was given to two groups in two days. Participants were initially provided with theoretical training on LPG, and with applied training on fire fighting individually. Our Company, in particular our experts, has given this training in scope of social responsibility with no thought of personal gain.

Minister of Labour and Social Security Aziz Gürpınar has visited our Facility’s training area and the participants of fire training on the last day of the Course.

In his speech to the participants, Gürpınar gave information about the measures that were taken by the Ministry in the field of health and safety at work. Stating that 85 people have received Occupational Health and Safety Expertise training, Gürpınar emphasized the important role of experts in maintaining safe and healthy environment at workplaces, and thanked to our Company Intergaz Ltd. for offering participants with an opportunity of receiving fire training.

Our Company Intergaz Ltd. authorities decided to create ‘Memorial Forest’, in scope of social responsibility, aiming to support society and contribute to ‘Green Island’ project by emphasizing environmental friendly character of gas as a fuel. In line with this objective, our Company contacted and ensured the necessary coordination with Forest Department Directorate last year, and signed ‘Memorial Forest Afforestation Protocol’ with Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources on 20 January 2015. In the scope of this Protocol, planting event in south east of Dikmen was organized on Saturday, 7 February 2015. In this event, our company employees, on behalf of Intergaz family planted red pine and eucalyptus. 3500 saplings were planted on two-hectars field, with a slogan which was ‘May everybody have a plant’. In the following years, similar events will be organised in order to afforest our country.

In the scope of local products week events every year, 50 students with their teachers from Atleks Sanverler Secondary School have visited Intergaz on Wednesday, 18 December 2014. Our facility was introduced to the visitors mainly by giving basic information on LPG and its safe use.

Being the first in the TRNC, since 2011, we have been certificating our customers and subcontractors by receiving consultancy in the framework of adequate in-service training activities, with the intent of encouraging our customers to adopt and implement technical safety and fire safety. We also provide such trainings to the schools, Cyprus Turkish Petrols personnel, military units, Civil Defence and Fire Directorate personnel.

In this context, specially trained Intergaz personnel and Dilek Fire Consultancy which provides fire consultancy services at Ipragaz and Hunca Cosmetics in Turkey give theoretical and applied trainings every two months, so as six periods in a year. 900 people have been certificated since then.

For the year 2014, ‘5th LPG Training and Drill’ was planned on 6 November 2014, with participation of 56 personnel from Civil Defence Organization and Fire Directorate.

The ‘LPG Training and LPG Fire Drill’ was divided into two subjects as ‘Theoretical Training’ at the Chamber of Industry conference hall in the morning session, and ‘Intervention to LPG Fires and Gas Leakages, Functional Drills and Facility Technical Visit and Introduction’ at Intergaz Facility drill area in the afternoon session. Our training was completed after presentation of participant certificates.
