We Took Part in the 2021 Civil Defense Disaster Management and Response Drill
The Civil Defense Disaster Management and Response Drill 2021 distinguished observer day was held on October 7, 2021, in the Palm Beach area of Famagusta.
According to the scenario; based on an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 on the Richter scale, its epicenter off the coast of Larnaca Bay and at a depth of 5 kilometers below the seabed, the response methods were demonstrated through the cooperation of institutions and organizations. This was to showcase the collaboration, coordination, and performance of all units within the Disaster and Emergency Management System under all conditions and to raise awareness. For the audience, potential situations that could occur during the drill were simulated, and responses to the incidents were carried out.
The Intergaz Fire Response Specialist Team was also among the units acting in cooperation with the teams in the incident area in the face of potential situations. In the drill, a response to a potential LPG fire during an emergency disaster was carried out. After the LPG fire was tackled, Intergaz technical teams conducted the necessary checks and secured the fire area.
